PKL Group Environmental Policy Statement
To ensure that PKL Group provides services within an environmentally sound framework, as a company we are committed to operating an Environmental Management System that meets the requirements of ISO 14001. It is our also policy to:
Objectives- Ensure employees act in accordance with this policy and PKL Group's Environmental Management System
- Ensure our employees and workers have relevant competences to fulfill their environmental responsibilities
- Implement procedures to detect and where possible prevent pollution
- Set and monitor environmental objectives and targets
- Reduce waste and the consumption of resources (materials, fuel and energy) and ensure unavoidable waste is recycled, reused or recovered, where possible, or disposed of responsibly
- Foster a sense of responsibility for the environment amongst PKL Group's employees and workers
- Monitor and where possible reduce the impact of our activities on the local and wider environment
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
- Continually strive to improve PKL Group's environmental performance
The Directors and Management Representative shall be responsible for regularly reviewing the policy and where necessary updating the policy, communicating any changes to employees and workers.

PKL Group Environmental Objectives and Targets
As part of our ongoing commitment to social and corporate responsibility, PKL is currently working towards the following environmental objectives and targets.
Objectives
- To recycle and reuse waste wherever reasonable and reduce waste going to landfill
- To continue monitoring energy and resource consumption and introduce a programme to identify opportunities for reduction in consumption levels
- To increase employee awareness of environmental impacts of PKL and foster a sense of increased responsibility toward environmental issues
- To investigate and report feasibility for carbon offsetting specific processes
- To ensure all printed marketing material is produced with environmental impacts reduced wherever possible
Targets
- By the end of 2009 to have reduced landfill by 25% when compared to last year's levels (taking into account any changes in operating levels).
- To review water consumption with a target to reduce usage levels by 10% by the end of 2009
- To review electrical consumption with a target to reduce usage levels by 5% by the end of 2009
- To publish a guideline document for employees by the end of August and to have introduced a suggestion scheme for environmental improvement
- By January 2010 to have identified project elements suitable for carbon offsetting
- To have ensured that all significant printed products are produced with materials sourced from certified sources as defined by the PEFC and or FSC standards for wood based products.
