The PKL Food Cube has been designed to alleviate congestion in the busy serving and dining areas at schools during lunchtimes.

It provides an additional serving area to help ease pressure on the school kitchen and dining area, and can also double up as a tuck shop, selling drinks and snacks at break times. The Food Cube can also help give schools the ability to broaden the range of food offered.

Locatable anywhere within school grounds, the Food Cube can provide an additional serving outlet for hot and cold food and snacks. As lunches are pre-ordered and pre-paid, the Food Cube significantly speeds up the time in which food is served, allowing food to be prepared and kept warm or chilled in advance, so pupils can pop by and collect it at lunchtime.

Another advantage of the Food Cube is that if a wide variety of food is quickly and readily available, it can help keep pupils in school over lunchtime. This enables schools to have much greater control over pupils' lunch choices, and help to keep them healthier.

The Food Cube is available in two sizes, 3x3m or 6x3m, to suit the size of school and number of pupils. It features a serving hatch, and schools can choose from a selection of catering equipment, enabling them to have a Food Cube which meets their exact needs. Equipment available includes, amongst others, hot and cold serveries, drinks machines, panini grills, fridges, sinks, racking and an extraction system.

The exterior of the Food Cube is also fully customisable. It is available in a huge variety of colours or can be branded according to the school's requirements.

Although semi-permanent, the Food Cube is quick and easy to install, with the ability to have the facility up and running in a matter of hours after delivery. There is also an option for no capital outlay - the Food Cube is available on a fully inclusive contract hire basis, providing schools with a guaranteed fixed cost. With this hire option, all service and maintenance is included, so you can be safe in the knowledge that there will be no additional costs.
